What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a modern, minimally invasive treatment that can improve skin texture. Ultra-fine micro-channels can stimulate the skin’s natural regeneration and support the production of collagen and elastin.
Microneedling for acne scars, pigmentation and anti-ageing
Microneedling can improve the look of acne scars, pigmentation spots, enlarged pores and first fine lines. As an anti-ageing treatment it can help the skin look smoother and more even.
How a microneedling treatment works
After a short consultation the skin is cleansed thoroughly. A fine needle attachment then creates tiny micro-channels through which nourishing active ingredients can reach the skin better. Finally, the skin is soothed and cared for.
Microneedling with PDRN salmon DNA
This version also uses a serum containing PDRN (polydeoxyribonucleotide from salmon DNA).

How often should I have microneedling, and how many sessions do I need for visible results?
That depends on your skin and your goal. A course of several sessions a few weeks apart is often recommended. Basma will discuss the right plan with you during your consultation.
Does microneedling hurt, and what does the skin look like right afterwards?
Microneedling is usually described as easy to tolerate. Right afterwards the skin may be red, similar to a mild sunburn. This usually fades within one to two days.
Is microneedling also suitable for oily or sensitive skin?
Microneedling suits many skin types, including oily skin with enlarged pores. For very sensitive skin, rosacea or acute inflammation, Basma will discuss beforehand whether and in what form the treatment makes sense.
What should I keep in mind before and after microneedling?
Please tell Basma about any allergies or skin conditions beforehand. After the treatment, avoid make-up, sauna, intense exercise and direct sun for a few days, and use sun protection consistently.
Who is microneedling not suitable for?
For example, with acute inflammation or infections of the skin, open wounds, during pregnancy, or with certain illnesses and medications. If in doubt, Basma will clarify this during your consultation.
